Integration Courses: Information in English
What is an integration course?
Our school offers integration courses. The BAMF (Federal Office for Migration and Refugees) partially subsidizes these courses. A complete integration course lasts about one year and ends with the B1 language test. The course consists of 6 language modules and the orientation course. Each module lasts about 6 weeks. The courses are intensive and take place 4 days a week. Each module consists of 25 days of lessons. One module has 100 lessons.
How much does a course module cost?
– If you receive money from the Jobcenter because you are unemployed, then
the Jobcenter will pay for your German course. You do not have to pay anything.
– The BAMF will only pay (partly) for your integration course if you are required to take it: if the immigration office says that you must take an integration course. In this case, a module costs €229.
– If you are not registered with the job center and are not required to take the course, then you must pay for it yourself: a module costs €250.

Was ist ein Integrationskurs?
Unsere Schule bietet Integrationskurse an. Das BAMF (Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge) fördert diese Kurse zum Teil. Ein ganzer Integrationskurs dauert ungefähr ein Jahr und endet mit dem Sprachtest Stufe B1. Der Kurs besteht aus 6 Sprachmodulen und dem Orientierungskurs. Jedes Modul dauert ungefähr 6 Wochen. Die Kurse sind intensiv und finden an 4 Tagen in der Woche statt. In jedem Modul gibt es an 25 Tagen Unterricht. Ein Modul hat 100 Unterrichtstunden.
Wie viel kostet ein Kursmodul?
– Wenn du Geld vom Jobcenter bekommst, weil du arbeitslos bist, dann zahlt das Jobcenter für deinen Deutschkurs. Du musst nichts zahlen.
– Das BAMF zahlt nur (zum Teil) für deinen Integrationskurs, wenn du dazu verpflichtet bist: Wenn die Ausländerbehörde sagt, dass du einen Integrationskurs machen musst. Dann kostet ein Modul 229 Euro.
– Wenn du nicht beim Jobcenter bist und nicht verpflichtet bist, dann bist du Selbstzahler_in: Ein Modul kostet für dich 250 Euro.
